Private Lessons
Q: Where will my lessons be located?
A: Private lessons are available at our studio at 81 4th Avenue (between St. Marks and Warren) or at your home. For in-home lessons, please call (718) 855-5400 to check on lesson availability in your area.
Q: How do private lessons work?
A: The first step is to set up a trial lesson. Call or e-mail our friendly staff at 718-855-5400 or info@brooklynguitarschool.com . We'll ask you about your experience and interests and suggest one of our expert teachers for a single, no-obligation trial lesson.
Q: How much is tuition?
A: A trial lesson at our studio is $50. An in-home trial lesson is $60. After the trial, you can continue with individual lessons at our studio for $60 per lesson or in-home for $80 per lesson, however most of our students take advantage of our discounted blocks of five or ten lessons. Complete pricing is shown below:
STUDIO WEEKNIGHT PEAK (Mon-Thu 5pm or later)
Trial Lesson: $50
Individual Lesson: $60
Block rate for five or ten pre-paid studio weeknight lessons = $58.50 per lesson
HOME VISIT (Anytime at your home or office)
Trial Lesson: $60
Individual Lesson: $80
Block rate for five or ten pre-paid home lessons = $68.50 per lesson
WEEKEND STUDIO
Trial Lesson: $50
Individual Lesson $60
Block rate for five or ten pre-paid studio weekend lessons = $48.50 per lesson
WEEKDAY OFF-PEAK STUDIO (Mon-Thu 10am-4:45pm)
Trial Lesson: $50
Individual Lesson $60
Block rate for five or ten pre-paid off-peak studio lessons = $41.50 per lesson
You can withdraw at anytime from a set of lessons for a one hundred percent refund or credit for remaining lessons.
Q: What if I'm a complete beginner?
A: Don't worry! Our teachers are patient and supportive, and we have a top notch curriculum to help beginners gently achieve confidence and competence.
Q: Do I need to bring my guitar to the school?
A: You are welcome to bring your guitar, but you do not need to. Guitars are available for the use of students during the lessons.
Q: What if I don't have a guitar?
A: Economical guitar rentals are available.
Q: Can I take lessons with a friend?
A: Yes! Experience extra motivation and fun by learning together with a friend for only an extra $9 per lesson.
Q: Do you have gift certificates?
A: Yes! Attractive gift certificates are available for any number of lessons.
